this book is so helpful in so many ways...the first, being the insight into the rich jewish culture in ways of thinking, reasoning, searching for truth. it is not an easy read, but concise and full of cross-references that are so detailed and informative on their own. i have been a Christian for 23 years...having been raised catholic, discovering the truth and validity of scripture at 28years old was a freeing and meaningful life change already; but what i did not know was the true jewishness of God's Word... and His desire for all believers to seek Him with an awareness of that perspective. this book is helping me to understand my Heavenly Father, his chosen people, and the history of such tragic misunderstanding and mishandling of the Bible. I have just finished reading this book. I first see the need to tell everyone I am a gentile, I am NOT Jewish.
This book is a very deep book. It is a book that explains the details of how everyone can know that Yeshua is the Jewish Messiah, first for Israel, then for the nations. I can say as a gentile that I really did not understand the Jewishness of the Messiah till I read this book. This is a book that for me has let me see the entire Bible in a different way. After reading this book I have a clearer picture of the story of Israel and Yeshua. I can now see how the Torah (the first five books of the Bible) tells the story of Israel and Yeshua. If a person wants a deeper insight into the Bible and into our Salvation, I would encourage you to buy this book. I would also encourage people both Jews and gentiles to buy all of the educational material that Itzhak Shapira has authored. It is impossible for me to say enough good things about this book.

Very interesting. This is a very detailed read. Not for the faint of heart or anyone looking for a quick read. There is a lot of Hebrew in the book but most of it has parallel English. Many footnotes and extensive bibliography.
Prepare to be challenged. You have to bring a lot to this book; a basic knowledge of Hebrew is mandatory, although the author does translate most of his quotations. The seemingly-odd title itself is a word-play and incorporates the numerology of the Hebrew. Written mainly for a Jewish audience, this book should be of great interest also to Christians who know enough about the Hebrew language and about their own religion, as well as Judaism, to do justice to it. The book is masterful for those who are willing to do the intellectual work to take it on.
This book is worth reading by the un-biased. Even if you have qualms about the author's legitimacy as a Rabbi, and regardless of your opinions of his method, the scriptures speak for themselves when not being read through prejudiced and biased eyes. Even the writings of the sages alone speak for themselves. Anyone can plainly see that many of the sages gave an entirely DIFFERENT interpretation to the Messianic prophecies than those prejudiced rabbis of today. WHY haven't they been able to identify their own Messiah to their own people??? They are only busy trying to tear down the only credible proofs of Yeshua's Messiahship whenever someone attempts to put forth a means of identifying Him. As a smokescreen to divert people's attention from the real issue, they quibble about terms and Rabbinic methods and supposed technicalities, but again they cannot argue the substance! They attack the messenger and his qualifications, but have no credible rebuttal to the facts set forth. These are the anti missionaries or anti-messiahs who are afraid the truth of Yeshua will come to Light for so many Jews who are already denied the truth by their corrupt and blind rabbis. READ THE BOOK FOR YOURSELF AND LOOK FOR TRUTH AND YOU WILL SEE THAT YESHUA IS THE DIVINE MESSIAH PROMISED IN THE SCRIPTURES!

I highly recommend this volume as a ready resource with a large bibliography, cross reference for Scripture and Judaic texts, and Hebraic understanding on the critical subject of the Messiah!
